Mitchell Contemporary

Founded by Tim Mitchell in 2009 in Aspen Highlands Colorado, Mitchell Contemporary joins the vibrant and diverse Camden, Maine arts community. After 15 plus years out west, and extensive time traveling throughout Europe ,Asia and Australia ,Tim is thrilled to be establishing a home base in New England.   

Mitchell Contemporary’s program is dedicated to representing established artists and an array of emerging to mid-career talent from around the world. We work with both new and seasoned collectors as well as with corporate collections.

Our current exhibition features Modern original works focused on Abstract, Abstract Expressionism and New American Pop Art paintings, and Modern sculpture. We are inspired by artists committed to pushing against the status quo with work that distinctly celebrates and challenges our interpretation of the world around us— from iconic cues imprinted on our shared conscious, to the dynamic beauty of an ephemeral natural world we inherently crave.
